InboxAlly starts detecting your emails shortly after you send a campaign to our seed list. Most dashboard data appears within 2–6 hours, and full engagement activity typically completes within 72 hours.
What to expect in the first 72 hours
- First 2–6 hours: Most emails sent to seed addresses are detected and show up in the Dashboard. You’ll see early inboxing and initial delivery stats.
- 6–12 hours: More detections and early engagement data may appear due to inbox refresh cycles and possible ESP sending delays.
- 12–72 hours: Remaining engagement activity completes. This longer window reflects normal user behavior and helps avoid engagement patterns that could look artificial to mailbox providers.
Why your report may not match your full send volume (the 80% model)
InboxAlly typically engages with up to ~80% of the emails sent to our seed addresses. This is expected behavior, not a tracking issue.
This happens because our system is designed to:
- Balance load across all users (so engagement actions run reliably at scale)
- Use cooling periods (to avoid unnatural engagement spikes)
- Maintain deliverability-safe patterns that look like real recipient behavior
So if you sent 1,000 emails to seeds, it’s normal to see engagement on roughly 800 of them.
If you’re seeing much less than expected
If detected emails or engagement are significantly below ~80%, it may indicate a delivery or placement issue (not just timing).
To confirm where your emails are landing, run an inbox placement test using Placement Tester (in the InboxAlly app). This helps you determine whether messages are reaching the inbox, going to spam, or being dropped.
